Jambu is highly sought after in the Amazon because it is the main ingredient of the popular food in the north called tacacá, in essence there is an anesthetic called sibiosina which is highly potent, being able to numb the place where the flower was passed, the leaf has the anesthetic but in smaller quantity. It is very good for teas, green smoothies, spices, salads and vegetables in general.

The jambu seedling can be transported in an organized and protected package, generally speaking sambu, being extreme and resistant, can last up to 2 weeks in a closed package when traveling.
